How much does it cost per year to be an undergraduate at UCLA? Using this budget calculator, undergraduate Bruins as well as prospective students can now holistically estimate the annual costs. The Cost of Attendance Committee, a group within the USAC Financial Supports Commission (part of your student government!), conducted a survey that aimed to figure out a more accurate estimate for how much undergraduate Bruins pay every year to attend UCLA.
The results of the survey have allowed us to get a better idea of all the areas in which undergraduate students spend money, in addition to tuition and housing. Everything ranging from how much students pay for school supplies per year to how much students spend on gas per year has been taken into account. The budget you generate will allow you to see not only the estimated total cost per year, but also where all of that money is being spent. Approximately 750 students completed the survey, with ample responses from the different communities and demographics on campus.
The estimates generated from this site are not intended to replace, nor serve as a supplement to the official UCLA Financial Aid Office Student Expense Budgets. For official budgets, please visit the UCLA Financial Aid Office.
