Hello everyone. My name is Pranaya (Pruh-Ney-Uh), and I’m so excited to be serving as your Gen Rep 2 for this 2026-2027 school year!

Officer-Specific Platforms & Objectives

  • Needs, Aid, and Accessibility

    • Advocate for alternative grocery programs to CalFresh, expanding infrastructure to support undocumented and international students

    • Advocate for extended food closet hours to accommodate student workers who cannot access resources during working hours

    • Meet with UCLA Housing & Admin to explore ways to connect non-traditional students with equitable & safe off-campus housing.

    •  Engaging in conversation with FAC and disabled students, pushing for ADA-compliant services on campus (CAE, Bruin Access)

    • Advocate for greater emergency funding via UCSA to preserve and strengthen disability services, advocating for increased CAE staffing to keep up with demands for individualized support 

  • Student Safety & Wellness

    • Explore connecting RISE with identity-specific groups and resource centers (Black Bruin Resource Center, South Asian Student Union, etc.) to provide culturally responsive mental health workshops 

    • Co-program with identity-specific groups across campus to promote culturally responsive workshops regarding SA/DV prevention

    • Advocate @ UC Regents for increased funding and stronger staffing for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE)

  • Community Engagement & Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice

    • Meet with UCLA Administrators, CPO, Regents, and MOs to advocate for transparency and access to funding for access & retention programs

    •  Continue TSR mutual aid drives with Bruin Parenting Scholars to support Basic needs

    • Bolster legal services to support non-citizen students

    • Explore more timely forms of communication (apart from campus-wide email) to notify community members if immigration enforcement officers are on campus 

  • Resource Education, Employment, and Opportunity

    • Create a centralized hub of opportunities to join student organization opportunities, SIPS, labs, academic, and USAC opportunities for executive, director, and staff positions to make campus involvement more accessible.

    • Support SLAP's $20 minimum wage campaign, resolution calling for a higher paid sick time accrual rate

    • Collect ASUCLA worker testimonies to consider when creating UC policies institutionalizing student worker protections

    • Create accessible informational resources for non-USAC-sponsored organizations to bridge gaps in access to guidance + resources
