Office of the Campus Events Commissioner

Salem Walsh| (cec@usac.ucla.edu)

Hi, my name is Salem Walsh, and I'm an Art History and Applied Linguistics double major. CEC handles everything events at UCLA-- so those indie film screenings, on-campus drag shows, and sold-out concerts you know and love are us! CEC has been dedicated to providing UCLA undergraduates FREE campus entertainment since 1965. CEC is a student-funded, student-run, and student-focused commission, dedicated to bringing UCLA the absolute best that the entertainment industry has to offer.

Responsibilities

As Campus Events Commissioner, it is my duty to uphold the highest quality of events that are the most representative of the diverse community that makes up our campus. Apart from leading a staff of over 100 people to plan and execute free speaker events, early film screenings, and quarterly concerts, I'll be spending my summer planning Bruin Bash, securing the largest venues and biggest artists possible to kick off the 2026-2027 school year right.
